Frequently Asked Questions

  • City hall weddings offer a more intimate and personal setting. City hall photography allows for capturing authentic and meaningful moments in a unique and beautiful environment.

  • City hall weddings usually have a more relaxed atmosphere and a simpler setting, making the focus on the couple and their emotions more pronounced.

  • The photography session will focus on documenting the ceremony, the couple exchanging vows, ring exchange, and other significant moments. I will strive to capture candid emotions, details of the location, and intimate interactions between the couple and guests. And then after the ceremony we can stroll around the City hall for the romantic photos.

  • The duration may vary based on the couple's preferences and the city hall's regulations. Generally, city hall ceremonies can be relatively short, there is a 30-minute check-in period followed by a ceremony 15-30 minutes. Then formal group portraits, romantic stroll around the city hall for 1 more hour with the exit through the iconic doors.

  • It's essential to check with the city hall for any specific rules or regulations on your wedding day. Sometimes they have events planned that can make it impossible to take those photos at the grand staircase. Remember to bring your marriage license and comfortable shoes. If the ones you're currently wearing aren't comfortable, consider an alternative pair. Additionally, pack some snack bars and water for convenience.

  • This year, I'm only taking on fewer than 20 weddings. I do this to focus on giving couples the best experience and photos without spreading myself too thin. Quality matters more to me than quantity, and my priority is providing you with exceptional service rather than just making money.

  • Just a heads up - City Hall can get quite warm, even on a chilly San Francisco winter (or summer) day! Don't fret about feeling cold in your dress. For those in suits, feel free to keep your jackets off until the ceremony or picture time!

  • Absolutely! We will have a consultation where we can discuss the details of your special day and then tailor the package to your needs. Discuss your preferences, including the number of hours needed, specific shots, and any additional services, to create a package that suits your requirements.

  • Yes, just let me know the address and how long you want me to be there.

  • It is totally fine, it doest affect the pricing.

  • Absolutely! I'm here to assist you throughout the planning process. I can offer advice on timelines, locations for the walk and receptions, vendors, and any other details you might need assistance with.

  • The editing process typically takes around 4-6 weeks. However, I provide sneak peeks or a few edited images shortly after the event, so you have something to cherish while waiting for the complete set.

  • I firmly believe that editing contributes significantly to the magic of images; without this crucial step, the photos are only partially complete. I assure you that I won't omit any photos you want or need. If you feel that I might have missed delivering a specific photo, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm more than willing to review my images and send it to you (yes, I do make mistakes sometimes!). I'm committed to ensuring you don't miss out on preserving your cherished memories!

  • I ask for a 50% deposit to reserve your slot in my schedule. The remaining 50% is due 1-2 days after the weddings and photo shoots. If needed, you can divide these payments (up to three installments) to make it easier on your budget. I'm flexible and willing to accommodate your payment schedule!

  • I don't change your appearance unless it involves temporary skin blemishes or any imperfections that wouldn't usually be present (like bruises, scrapes, acne), unless you prefer to keep them in the photos. If there's something specific you're self-conscious about, please inform me, and I'll be particularly mindful of that aspect while posing you.

  • No, my prices are firm.

  • I love embracing whatever weather conditions we encounter because they often add a beautiful and distinctive touch to the photos. However, if the weather is severe enough that it would either create an unpleasant experience during our shoot or potentially damage my equipment, I'm completely open to rescheduling.

  • Hopefully a situation like this won’t occur. And if it happens, it would only happen if circumstances were beyond my control (such as acts of God, illness, or unforeseen circumstances like death). In this unlikely event, I will make every effort to find a replacement photographer whom I trust and who shares a similar style, although I'm not legally obligated to do so. If I'm unable to attend your wedding, you will receive a refund of your money.

  • Once a deposit has been placed for a specific date and circumstances require you to reschedule or cancel, the initial deposit is legally non-refundable. Rescheduling within 72 hours without good reasons that are beyond your control will incur a $100 reschedule fee at the discretion of the photographer.

  • Your online gallery has an online print store where you can select photos to print.

  • I do! I can only take 2-3 destination weddings this year.

  • No sweat! You can email me here iza.erkin@gmail.com , we set up a quick video call to chat and make sure we're a good match, and then I'll send over a contract and invoice that you can handle with just a few clicks.
